Virtually Living

International Poetry Competition

How are you doing?  For many of us how we are feeling shifts day to day or several times throughout the day.  What is keeping a lot of us going is our creativity in trying to make sense of the bizarre situation we find ourselves in trying to mitigate the COVID pandemic.  So, we have decided that now is the perfect time to launch our first poetry competition!

We welcome poetry submissions on the theme of ‘Virtually Living’.   Poems should be limited to 30 lines and you can enter up to 5 poems.  Shortlisted poems will be reviewed by acclaimed US poet and speaker Joy Jones

The winner will receive £150 & will be announced at an online Readings Party scheduled for 8pm GMT on May 31st.  All shortlisted applicants will be invited to have their work featured in an e-anthology.

There is an entry fee of £3 per poem or submit 5 poems for £10.  Payment should be credited either by PayPal to blkartmoves@gmail.com or directly by bank transfer to sort code 089002 a/c number 67002546 ref 11614BAOTM.

Everyone regardless of their background can enter the competition and submit their poetry.

There will be an additional prize for a writer who identifies as being from a global south ethnicity and may, therefore, be marginalized by race.
